Music at Holy Trinity

Thursday 9.00pm. The Blue Danube Quartet. Three instrumentalists with vocal accompaniment, play a selection of popular classics and songs from the shows. Tickets €15 on the door.

The Mandolin Orchestra are now on their Summer Break.

Friday 9.00pm. The Madeira Mandolin Orchestra, under the leadership of Senor Eurico Martins, has been performing in the church on Friday evenings since September 2005. His audiences have gone from strength to strength and Eurico now occasionally also performs midweek. Tickets are available at the door, at the Sunday morning stall and at the central Tourist Office in Funchal - €20.00.

The benefit to the church from these performances is incalculable: how many of those attending these musical evenings also come to church for a service? We don't know, but we are delighted that performers and audiences use and enjoy the environment we offer.

Saturday.Sid and Julie Gifford host a coffee morning from 10.30 am. We invite voluntary contributions.

Wednesday.Social Afternoons: On Wednesday afternoons in The Old Library we will be open for social time for a chat with tea and cakes being served. Everyone is welcome, local people and visitors alike. Please do come along. There will be no charge.
