Madeira is a lush sub-tropical island giving rise to colourful descriptions - "the pearl of the Atlantic", "the floating flowerpot", etc. Visitors come to the island for its general warmth and the evenness of its temperature, and these factors are instrumental in the enormous variety of vegetation on the island. So our church is blessed with an abundance of flowers available at any time of the year and, more particularly, with those who have the ability to make the most of them. This page is dedicated to the team of volunteers for their skill in creating such works of art and their devotion and generosity in using this skill for the benefit of the church. Click on the picture below to see some more examples of their artwork, better still, plan a visit to Madeira, come to our church and see their displays for real!
